Shinsei AMC launches two funds

Japan's Shinsei said on 1st July it has launched two fixed income fund in India, marking its entry into the country's 6.6 trillion rupees ($138 billion) mutual funds industry.

The funds, Shinsei Liquid Fund and Shinsei PSU Bond Fund - Ultra Short Term Plan, are open for initial subscription till July 6, the firm said in a statement.

The bond fund will invest more than 80 per cent of its assets in government securities and debt instruments issued by public sector undertakings and nationalised banks and the rest in other debt securities.

The liquid fund will invest in money market instruments and short term debt instruments with a maturity of up to 91 days
